Cookies policy
What is a cookie?
A cookie is a small data file that is downloaded to your computer or mobile device when you visit a website. When you go back to a website you have visited before or when you visit a website that uses the same cookies, the website will recognise these cookies and, therefore, your device. Cookies perform some essential functions, such as allowing you to browse pages more efficiently, remembering your site preferences and, in general, enhancing your browsing experience.
Differences between first-party cookies and third-party cookies
Cookies may be set by the website you are visiting at the time or by another website before or during your visit. They are known as first-party and third-party cookies.
First-party cookies belong to the domain or subdomains of the website displayed in the address bar of your browser. In our case, it will be “www.caser.es”, and we can set these cookies when you visit us to be able to recognise you when you come back.
Third-party cookies belong to domains of websites other than “caser.es” and its subdomains. Some pages may contain third-party domain content (for instance, ads), and this is why you may sometimes come across a Caser ad in other pages you visit after visiting our websites. Other sites may also set cookies on your device during your visit to our site. These sites will belong to some of our collaborators.
Differences between session cookies and persistent cookies
There are two types of cookies during a visit to the website. They are known as session cookies and persistent cookies.
Session cookies are set at the beginning of a visit and remain active only for the length of the visit. They are basically compatible with the site browsing, as they remember on which pages you have been and which interactions you may have had with the site (for instance, selection of a product in the rate calculator). Typically, these cookies are automatically deleted when you close your browser.
Persistent cookies are set during the first visit to a site, but have an expiration date or time. These cookies will remain on your device until you delete them or else until they expire. They can serve analytical purposes, to track visits throughout time; for instance, we can see how many people has visited a page in particular and come back to see it again later.
How to control which cookies are used / set on your devices
When you visit the site for the first time, or if you visit the site after deleting your cookies, you will see this pop-up window on the page. This cookie alert will prompt you to accept all cookies and continue browsing, or to click on Cookie settings to change your preference settings.
The privacy manager gives you the possibility to accept three of the four categories of cookies. Remember that strictly necessary cookies should not be disabled, as they might prevent effective use of the site.
I’m not interested in cookies. How can I delete them?
Our privacy manager allows you to enable and disable all Caser’s cookies, but will not block all cookies from other websites. To do that, you can change your settings on your browser.
Instructions may vary depending on the browser type and may also change from time to time as new versions are released.

Cookie categories
There are four categories of cookies used in this website:
-
Essential cookies: These cookies are necessary for our website to work and cannot be disabled. Typically, they are only stored in answer to actions performed by the user when requesting a service, for instance, when defining their privacy preferences, when logging in, or when filling in forms. You can set your browser to block these cookies or warn you of their presence, but in this case certain parts of the site will not work.
The use of cookies is required for the majority of the services offered on this website, such as access to e-customer or the medical team.
- Privacy: the cookies “OPTOUTMULTI & CORP_EVENT” store the cookie download acceptance and your preference settings.
- Session cookies: They are necessary for the site to work properly. They are used to store session data, data on the quotation and purchase request process, and to log in with a username and password.
- Tealium: A tag manager that helps to manage measurements from our website and its tools in a more streamlined, quicker and more unified manner. . (https://tealium.com/privacy/)
- Statistical cookies: We use these cookies to analyse and identify visitors’ behaviour on our website, traffic sources, or to know which pages are more or less popular. If possible, we will combine your online behaviour data with the personalised data you already provided to us. This data will be used to analyse behaviour on our website and personalise your experience with Caser.
- Analytical cookies: Using Adobe Analytics Omniture and Google Analytics, we gather anonymous information on how you use our website. This information includes, for instance, the browser you are using or the number of pages you have visited.
- Hotjar: This is an analytical software that help us to improve the experience on our website by analysing users’ behaviour on the website. Hotjar uses cookies to identify the user’s different visits to our site. This software will never have access to personal data. https://www.hotjar.com/legal/policies/privacy
- Customisation cookies: These cookies help the website to offer extended functionalities and customisation options. These cookies are used to offer you a more personalised experience on our website, by taking into account your previous visits and selections. If you do not accept these cookies, some of these services may not work properly.
- Adobe Target (Test A/B and multivariable): enhances, develops and optimises web content, and, as a result, improves the user’s experience on future visits to the site.

- Advertising cookies: These cookies may be used and shared with the advertising agencies that collaborate with us to develop a profile of your interests and show you personalised ads on other websites. If you do not enable these cookies, you will see fewer personalised ads.
- Google Doubleclick: This is a tool that uses cookies to improve advertising. That is, they target adverts according to the content and how relevant they may be to a specific user, like you. This helps us to improve the campaign performance reports and to avoid showing you ads that are not of your interest or that you have seen already.
The ID for each DoubleClick cookie is essential for these uses. This cookie keeps a record of the ads shown to you on each browser. When it comes to placing an ad, DoubleClick can use the cookie ID of the browser to check if the ads have already been displayed.
Cookie IDs also enable DoubleClick to log conversations related to the ad requests, such as, for example, when you see a DoubleClick ad and later, you use the same browser to visit the website of the advertiser and make a purchase from there.
At times, the cookie contains an extra identifier that looks like the cookie ID. This identifier is used to identify advertising campaigns to which you have already been exposed as a user.
In any case, we want you to know that DoubleClick does not store personal identification data in the cookie, but only data that is related to your browser traffic.
https://support.google.com/adsense/answer/2839090?hl=es- Google Adwords & Tradedoubler: These cookies help to determine the number of times visitors see our ads and click on them.
